Matthew 28:6
We were happy to resume our Jesus coffe meetings today 04-01-10.
Our first four readings included Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, and John 20. We read the resurrection accounts.
Our Reading from the Prophets was Second Samuel Chapter 9.
The lone survivor of Saul's house is not capable of claiming his inheritance. He is afraid, hiding, and lame in the feet. David sends for him and gives him his inheritance and is brought to the King's table to dine. This is a picture of G-d's grace. Unable to come to salvation, G-d Himself came and brought us to Himself.
The Reading from the Writings was 2-Chronicles 6.
The prayer of David is one of the most beautiful prayers in the Bible.
The final Reading was from the Wtinesses: First Epistle of John Chapter 1.
Verse 1 - We evangelize to you that which was from
the beginning, that which we have heard and
we have seen, that which we have perceived
with our eyes and we have touched with our
hands- him who is The Word of Life.
We read an extra letter before closing. Written by Kelly from County Jail. She is on our prayer list. She is homeless and fighting alcoholism. She is a friend of Polly. She mentioned her struggle for the first time. We ask G-d to answer her and help her.
Praying List:
Remember Eddie;
Remmber Polly;
Remember Kelly;
Remember Shirley - we went to her home to check on her; her son is in jail and she has not emerged from her house in days; she struggles with prescription psychotropes; she said she was alright.
Next Mon. 04/05 we will meet at 6 PM for the final day of Passover.
Havva House will hold a Pentecost meeting 05-19-10 with music by A.W.E (The Aaron Worship Experience).
